Is your lunchbox suitable and big enough for an adult?
Yes! Our Laptop lunch system is suitable for adults as well as children. The laptop-style carrying case is smart, stylish and easy to carry thanks to its strap. It does not look childish and can be carried to work by businessmen and women.
It is also ideal to take on a plane (if travelling through UK airports please remove the stainless steel fork before travel).
The Bento box come in blue or dark purple and you can choose the periwinkle option with all the inner containers in blue. We believe that the Bento box is big enough to hold a nutritious, well -balanced lunch for adults particularly for those with office jobs. It is also the perfect tool for vegetarians, vegans, people on special diets: calorie controlled diets, diabetics, people with food allergies, coeliac disease, Crohn's disease…

My children want a lunchbox that features the latest TV characters.
How can I counter this pester power?
The Bento box can be personalised with all kind of stickers and badges (eg laser stickers, foam stickers, mini key rings…) and thereby be made unique. See photos on the right. You can also explain to them that this cool lunchbox is more convenient and nicer to pack healthy food thanks to its tray-like system and that it is environmentally friendly. Tell them that it is so smart that even their parents can use it for work. Don't forget that this month's "cool" TV series or character is next month's "uncool" one. You can keep their lunchbox up to date simply by changing the stickers.

How can I fit a sandwich in the Laptop Lunches Bento box?
A sandwich can fit in several ways:

A thin sandwich can be cut in half and stacked in the largest container.

A thick sandwich can be cut in half with each half placed in each of the larger containers.

You can remove the larger containers and place a whole or cut sandwich directly inside the outer box.

Why does the Laptop Lunch Container come with only two inner lids, (one food container lid and one dip container lid)?
In a national survey conducted in the USA, it was found that the number one frustration experienced by parents who pack lunches in reusable containers is the search for lids and containers that match. The unique Laptop Lunch design eliminates the bother of miss-matched lids.
Kids (and adults) enjoy opening their lunch container and seeing what their food options are. We like to eat food that is nicely presented. If all the containers were lidded, you would open the outer container and see...well...lids!
The survey revealed that most families pack one wet food per meal. It was decided to provide a watertight container to accommodate those wet foods. By including both lidded and unlidded containers, we provide both convenience and versatility.

How can I pack a drink?
The Laptop Lunch container is designed to fit inside a lunchbox with a drink and an ice pack. It fits inside most soft-style lunchboxes and insulated lunch bags. Our aim is to provide a convenient way for families rely less heavily on disposable packaging and pre-packaged foods.

How can I keep my food cold?
We sell non-toxic ice packs for £1.99. They stay frozen for a long time and fit perfectly in the mesh pocket of our carrying case.

Does the outer container leak?
The outer container will not leak if you pack your wet foods in the lidded containers. The unlidded containers are designed to accommodate dry foods such as sliced apple, carrot and celery sticks, crackers, and pretzels.

Do kids really keep track of all those pieces? I've tried sending Tupperware containers to school, but they never come home!
Children don't treat their Laptop Lunches lunchbox the same way they treat Mum's food storage containers. They hang on to them because they take pride in ownership. The Laptop Lunch container belongs to them!
The pieces fit together like a puzzle, so it's easy to see when something's missing from the set.
All of our products can be labelled with a child's name. Use a permanent marker to write their names at the back of each container. If a piece is left at school, the adult who finds it will know who it belongs to, and will make sure that it's returned.

Is the Laptop Lunch container made of recyclable plastic?
Yes. The outer container and inner containers are made of polypropylene and the lids are made of polyethylene. Both are recyclable but may not be collected at the curb in your area. Check with your recycling center or your local council to find out how you can recycle these materials in your area.
Keep in mind that these containers are built to last a long time, so it is unlikely that they will need to be recycled anytime soon!

Are the containers dishwasher safe?
Yes, the bento box outer container and inner containers are dishwasher safe (top rack only, away from the heating element). The stainless steel products are not dishwasher safe.

Are the inner containers microwaveable for re-heating food?
The plastic containers are all approved for microwave use. However, some experts believe that microwaving in plastics of any kind may be hazardous. If you microwave in plastics, our containers are fine.

My child is a fussy eater. Are these lunchboxes suitable for him?
Our experience is that kids (even fussy eaters) love eating out of the Laptop Bento box. If the food is well presented a child will try most things, even if it is something they would not normally eat. The Laptop Lunchbox allows you to pack a variety of foods and you may find that if popular and less popular foods are put together, the less popular ones will also be eaten. Finally, our experience shows that un-eaten food will not be given away or traded with friends so you can see exactly what you child has eaten and what they have left.
